Training4Wellbeing is run as a partnership by Trevor Mayes and Annie Woods

Trevor MayesHello, my name is Trevor Mayes and proprietor of Colour Counselling Therapy Healing. I was born in 1951 and I have done a variety of different occupations, foundry worker, outdoor pursuit’s instructor, senior social worker, children’s home manager, and a market gardener where i reached the final of the Grower of the Year Award. I am now a colour therapist and a co-founder of Training4Wellbeing. I have a Diploma in Colour Therapy from the Iris International School of Colour Therapy, a Certificate in Community & Youth Work from The University of London Goldsmiths College 1974 - 76 and a Diploma in Community Education from De Montfort University 1980-82. I am also a professionally qualified web site designer with a Diploma in Web Site Design with distinction from the Association of Certified IT Professionals, and a member of the International Wheel of Colour a regulatory body for colour therapists.

My interests include ecotherapy, and the psychological, scientific, medical, and therapeutic use of colour. I am fascinated by anything to do with spirituality and the metaphysical including shamanism, numerology, and the runes. I use the online diagnostic tests and the choice of colour to tune into people and what is happening in peoples lives. As a dowser I have spent several years learning the use of the universal pendulum for remote diagnosis and healing. I am an audiophile that appreciates the quality reproduction of music as a means of colour healing. I live a healthy lifestyle growing my own vegetables and love to cook and eat a rainbow diet. I still have a passion for outdoor pursuits and still walk over mountains and along coastal paths.

Annie WoodsMy name is Annie Woods and I have 10 years experience working in the NHS as an Operating Department Practitioner and as a Deputy Training Manager. When I left the NHS I went into lecturing in Further Education which is where I am currently working. I lecture on Health Studies, Human anatomy and physiology as well as nutrition and study skills. I am also a qualified ITEC Swedish Body Massage therapist as well as a VTCT qualification in Indian Head Massage. I am interested in combining my understanding of the human body and the way ill health either emotional or physical can affect it with my background in complimentary therapies. Using this knowledge to help people deal more effectively with the stresses and strains of everyday living.

I have observed at first hand how stress and poor diet can cause problems such as irritable bowel syndrome, eczema, tiredness and lethargy. Many people exist in a vacuum where they trot along quite happily unaware of the effect of their lifestyle on their body and mind it is only when people really start to make profound changes in their life that they realise how unwell they really have been. I enjoy working with people helping them to make positive changes and supporting them through those changes so that they can lead happier more fulfilled lives.
